Our Draft Policies
Ecology
If we fail our children today, we fail their tomorrow
Ecology & the economy are really both sides of the same rupee; and when you lose contact with nature, you also lose contact with your cultural roots and sustainability.
If we cannot sustain our environment & develop another 2 pillars to our economy, then soon we will not be able to sustain ourselves.
The real challenge facing us; is an essential paradigm shift from the elites “modus operandi of inverted logic” to a mobilizing system that empowers people at all levels, combined with our willingness to sacrifice today for our future generations.
We can make a start by a simple act of offering 4 hours of voluntary work in the local community, when multiplied by thousands it can start transforming our country.
The ultimate moral test that faces each and every one of us in Seychelles, is what kind of world we leave our children, will it be one of continued greed, pollution, corruption and exploitation? Or, will we be handing over a healthy ecosystem which is at one with the 3 pillars of economic activities which generate wealth!
We need a paradigm shift from the idea that being an M.N.A. confers wisdom and that vaccines are efficient and therefore safe. Instead, we have all seen sweeping reforms swept under the carpet and Pfizer m R.N.A. vaccines irresponsibly administered to our young. Negligently, both the press and the National Assembly have not been asking the pertinent question; but rather too occupied in re-writing history, changing road names rather than providing an essential road map out of a crisis. The Assembly too needs to transform; away from the current debt creation to future wealth creation. ©
Economy
Big problems merit big solutions. - J.W
The Seychelles economy is currently supporting three pillars of man-made disasters: Drug addiction, Debt and silent Biol weapons upon that one pedestal of tourism. Two of these disasters we have the potential to deal with; substituting them by developing pedestals B & C.
Defunding: ECO ECO would de-fund A.P.D.A.R. with its Methadone programme; which has no scientific support and is a total waste of tax-payers money. In addition, duplicating Ministries & Departments would also be closed down. The Police are currently over resourced and under-performing, ECO ECO would aim to reverse this formula. We need to go from an ‘Administration’s’ policy that spends too much and delivers too little, to performing the inverse.
Funding: Hard working tax payers should be rewarded with a greater choice of facilities and sports; such as Skating Parks, National Park Ziplines, Glass Floored Bridges, Assault Courses and re-opening of our National Library. Also supported and encouraged would be authentic tourism together with more off-road viewpoints. ©
Tourism
Tourists seek an authentic Creole experience; air-conditioned buses and hotels do not provide this. Instead; ‘Camion Bus (Kitty) Excursions’ together with ‘Camion Buses/Luggage Trailers’ would operate around the island, providing a ferrying service between airports/ports and hotels/guest houses.
In addition, Francis Rachel Street would be pedestrianized; allowing skate boarding, roller skating, scooter riding & rickshaw (Pous Pous) and live music activities to take place whilst at the same time promoting local commerce. Rickshaws could be drawn by our celebrated athletes, combining entertaining races and training.
Traditional piroque building and inter-island travel would be encouraged by such craft. By taking the best from the past, whilst incorporating future technologies. ©
Renewable Energy
Untaxable solar power today for a brighter tomorrow
The largest source of CO2 emissions both locally and worldwide is being caused by human activities; from burning fossil fuel (black gold) for generating electricity to heating/cooling and transportation. Oil, like all extracted resources is finite and subsequently prices will only increase exponentially as those natural supplies deplete; whereas the unlimited supply and cost of solar energy never rises.
All planning submissions would either incorporate photovoltaïque and/or living green roofs in order to reduce dependency on fossil fuels for cooling.
In Seychelles we call it rush hour where nothing moves
Current traffic congestion costs the Country millions in lost productivity; combined with unsustainable levels of fuel consumption and environmental CO2 ejections. Car use needs to be reduced by 50 -75% in order to obtain free-flow traffic conditions. A Congestion/Pollution Charge (CPC) for the Victoria zone on a sliding scale of 100sr for one driver down to 0sr for a driver and 3 passengers payable by card at the toll entrance would make journeys quicker, and far more agreeable for all. Monies collected after costs to go to S.P.T.C. for investment in new low emission quality buses. ©
Planning
Currently there is a competition between Providence and Victoria for putting up the most inhumane and ugly structures; each saying: “Well if you thought that was ugly, just wait until you see this!” Primary children show far greater imagination than the plethora of heartless square boxes with square holes executed by ‘technicians’. Future structures will either be either traditional Creole and dynamic in concept or modern dynamic/organic architecture led by real architects and artists. ©
Drugs
This is Seychelles first man-made disaster, the illicit and licit (synthetic) heroin addiction; there being no scientific evidence to support the latter. This is a tragic waste of human resources as so often addicts are highly skilled and intelligent.
Car as a Centre rehabilitated countless Heroin addicts and alcoholics; both re-engaging them within the employment market & re-uniting families, also many victims of human trafficking were saved from committing suicide. Yet, not one methadone addict could be rehabilitated; as the pain when coming off this licit drug is too great. As this was a viable and worthy initiative it was subjected to the “modus operandi of inverted logic”. If it works de-fund it, and so over 4 years funding went from 1.2 million to 0. But if it’s not working then increase the budget by throwing 68 millions of hard-earned tax payer’s money at it!
Instead of re-habilitating clients, the methadone programme has become a return gateway to ghettos that supply illicit drugs such as heroin and cocaine (speedballs); this is due to ‘tolerance’ levels being hit.
The ‘zero tolerance’ drug-free, humane and economic alternative is to establish an outer island base to accommodate security personnel, construction and architectural lecturers, but most importantly: a nurse, doctor & dentist. Where initially addicts would be accommodated under tarpaulins and attend architecture seminars on traditional & modern Creole construction followed by lectures and practical sessions in all the building trades. Clients would be expected to remain negative for two years, if at any random test they proved positive then their two years would re-commence. Returning fully trained clients would then find posts in the construction industry as simultaneously GOP’s return home. They would still remain subject to tests and if proving positive would then return by boat for another two-year stint. In this way future generations would be saved as they realized the dire consequences.
Whereas Methadone may enter the list of illegal drugs, marijuana below 10% THC (Tetrahydroccabinol) would be legalized along with the right to grow a plant in your own garden. Above 10% & long-term use is detrimental both to the user & society. ©
Viruses & Vaccines
Viruses are rather like narcissists; the former when threatened by vaccines will just mutate, out-maneuvering the synthetic antibodies. Whilst, engaging with the latter is totally self-defeating, and like vaccination is entirely pointless.
Just like 9/11 which was orchestrated by Mossad (Israeli Intelligence) MI6 and the CIA; had nothing to do with the Terrorists. These Biological Warfare Weapons are also part of a well-orchestrated plan. Implying again, that unfortunately we cannot trust the authorities, be it the WHO, Dr Fauchi (Chief Medical Advisor) or Bill Gates (Microsoft). The current proposal for booster shots puts us on a slippery slope.
Mask wearing and ‘Social Distancing’ are also counter-productive; as mask wearing reduces our natural immunity leading to elevated levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) levels. Whilst social distancing goes out of the window as soon as customers rush in through the door. Instead, just having a cuddle; increases the immune system by 24%.
So, it is fair to ask: “What would ECO ECO do?” Well, we would base our policies on solid science, medical data and facts whilst respecting the 1949 Nuremberg Codes regarding medical experiments. Meaning that we would not subject any Seychellois citizen to experimental vaccination where the medium to long term benefits/risks remain unknown; whilst anyone would have the right to go abroad for vaccination at their own cost. The only guidelines would be daily steam inhalation after work and increased home steam inhalations if infected and to welcome the acquired antibodies. PCR tests for travel would remain. Our approach would go under the banner of: “The Wise and Free Islanders”. ©
Education
If the media’s social role is one of misinformation; then the importance of informing our young based on science and facts at school becomes primordial in such a landscape.
Today, many subjects on the curriculum are obsolete, new subjects will need to be put in place for tomorrow. Interestingly, studies have shown that children who regulate their attention and impulses, are four times less likely to have a criminal record, three times less likely to be addicted to drugs and have significant lower body mass indexes as adults. Support from parents for their off-springs education is of paramount importance. Teachers of real-world experience will be essential to be credible. ©
The Future
If you have ever asked yourself: “What is the meaning of life?” That line of enquiry, is only going to become more pertinent in the very near future; as autonomous robots and A.I. take over both manual and highly technical roles, and we end up having far more leisure time. For paradoxically computers and other A.I. forms can produce classical music and contemporary art with far more soul; which fundamentally questions our very own existence, conceivably reflected upon as we take the driverless car to the Leisure Centre.
In addition, are we even ready for Aliens from other planets living amongst us, say in 2030? Seychelles perhaps more so than most countries. Or, perhaps embarking on a journey (time travel) into the past or the future; and don’t be surprised if the latter will cost more than the former!
Again, will we wait until teleportation and telepathy are incorporated into a chip transplanted into the brain; thereby perhaps gaining a six-fold level in intelligence. Or as human race; will we endeavor to do this out of our own volition? Our contemporary response to vaccines would suggest not.
Nations globally have fallen unwittingly into the Chinese ‘debt trap’ enabling China to be the World leader well before 2049. Paving the way for Universal Basic Income (U.B.I.) with all its negative/positive aspects; but in a lamentably post human China driven state. With ‘freedom’ being traded for ‘security’; as there will be cameras on every street corner, and police as a force, will become obsolete. With all these moral challenges and impending advancements; wisdom, intelligence and discernment will be critical attributes in evaluating data and science. For example, ECO ECO are not in favour of G.5. as this is only an expedient for tracking people and entails more transmitters and health risks.
The UAE has an enforced fine of over 1000sr for littering; a 300sr fine needs to be strictly imposed here in Seychelles, as well as providing tri waste bins.
In the immediate future there is the risk of ‘Civil Unrest’ due to the ever-widening gulf between rich and poor, with the poor paying the price for the elites policies. The question here is whether the authorities responses are democratic or autocratic. ©
